Happy New Year! It's a fresh start for your air conditioning and heating system. We have a lot of specials for our customer's this year. Right now, we currently have nest thermostat installations on sale.
We installed a nest thermostat at our house to see what all of the hype was about. We were using a differnt wi-fi brand of thermostat at the time so we were familiar with the app and the theory on how the thermostat was suppose to work. We fell in love! We did our research, took some classes to became a nestPro because we believe in the nest brand.
There are a few features that aren't discussed in the big box store. One feature that we use in our household is the history report on the app. Here, you will find how many hours your air conditioner or heater ran on a given day. So far, our best day was December 30th, our system was on for 1 hour. However, on January 3rd, it ran for 10 1/4 hours. I'd like to say that was a worst amount of time our system ran, but some of us like it really cold in the house after working in the heat all day.
There are other products that nest makes to automate your home that we have purchase to try out. One thing is an outdoor camera. The camera can be set up to send you a push message to your phone every time there is movement in a certain zone. There is also a 2-way speaker so you can communicate with people at your door.
Nest also make a combined smoke and carbon alarm. We have set it off with re-lighting birthday candles during our son's party. Our children had never seen candles like that and it took a good 15 minutes for them to blow out the candles. The alarm actually tells you that "smoke was detected and the alarm is going to be loud." It also sends an alert to your phone.
